Anne Bramham, a renowned consultant, educator, and spa expert and the founder of Advanced Spa Therapy Education and Certification Council (ASTECC), has announced ASTECC will partner with Universal Companies to offer postgraduate training at Universal’s Torrance, California, and Abingdon, Virginia, learning centers. ASTECC is an organization widely regarded as a benchmark for spa therapy education excellence.
With more than 30 years of professional experience as consultant, teacher, therapist, and designer of spa therapies, Bramham is also the founder of Earth Matters Apothecary and Lymphoderm. An accredited practical instructor for the Vodder School International/North America since 1995, Bramham opened the first hospital-based lymphedema treatment center in South Florida. In 2005, she pioneered the Dr. Vodder-sponsored Spa Body Certification, now called Clinical Wellness.
“Over the years our trainings have largely been with destination and resort properties, and we look forward to working with and training independent practitioners.”
Universal Companies is a leading vendor for the spa industry, providing education, equipment, supplies, and more. In partnering with Universal, ASTECC will offer estheticians and body therapists training in a range of natural, holistic therapies including Dr. Vodder’s MLD, connective tissue, aroma-reflexology, and bio-chemical elements.
“We’re excited to be working closely with Universal Companies,” Bramham says. “Over the years our trainings have largely been with destination and resort properties, and we look forward to working with and training independent practitioners.”
“ASTECC training is holistic in nature,” Bramham explains. “We recognize health and beauty are reflections of one’s internal environment and that each of us has inherent ‘constitutional’ needs. It’s an exciting field. There is a growing demand for this holistic, highly individualized approach.”
